What is new?

A new feature is coming soon to Microsoft Teams to provide a more secure calling experience for users. The spam call notification feature will automatically evaluate incoming calls and identify potential spam calls. Identified calls will be labelled as “spam likely” and displayed with as a spam warning notification in the call. Users can then choose to accept or reject the call. All calls including identified “spam likely” calls will be included in the user’s Microsoft Teams call history.

What are the benefits?

Spam call notifications will provide an additional layer of protection for users and their communication channels. This feature could potentially enable organisations to develop a blacklist that prevents calls from suspicious numbers reaching employees.
